Story

Respected Patron, Jagadguru Shankaracharya ShriShri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahasawamiji, toured 7 states to bring awareness about the importance of the 'Desi' or Indian breed of cows and the necessity to protect them. This inspired two brothers, Kana Ramachandra Bhat and Raghavendra Bhat, from Kavadi. Ammathi, to start a goushala, by the name of "Kamadhenu Goushala" under the aegis of Kamadhenu Gouseva Samrakshana Charitable Trust (R.). From the time immemorial, in Bharat, us Bharathiyas have revered and reared cows with utmost care and affection. However, in recent times, due to rampant illegal transportation. theft and slaughtering, Indian native breeds of cows are on the verge of extinction in their pure form. Goumatha is an important element of tradition and culture of Bharat. In vedic culture, they are the most sacred animals and have been known as 'Kamadhenu', or the ones that bestow is with what we desire. Goumathas nourish us by providing us with milk. They also support farmers in agriculture by providing manure. Indiscriminate usage of chemical fertilizers and poisonous pesticides have led to innumerable difficulties which are being faced by the present generation.
